Women’s History Month at the Library
I had so much fun making this display in the library for Women’s History Month!
Last month, we had a beautiful display of books for Black History Month that served as inspiration for this month’s theme. There were several books that have graced both displays, highlighting the many accomplishments of black women. I loved going through the library to pull the stories on display this month and learned a lot myself about some great women in history.
It was important to me to include the stories of many types of women, so that all our students can see a piece of themselves on the shelf. There are stories you’ve heard and several you haven’t yet. These books showcase women from different time periods, fields, identities, ages, and races and each of them has done something amazing to change this world. Please stop by the library sometime in March to peruse and perhaps read the featured stories!
