The Book Fair Returns!
Our book fair partner, Bookworm Central, has moved our book fair online! We know it’s not the same but hopefully it will be a welcome distraction from the current situation. Students and families can purchase books, games, learning resources, and even fun stuff (scented erasers, special pens, etc.)! They are offering free delivery for any purchases over $20. Middle School required summer reading will also be available for purchase. Just like our in-person fairs, teachers have made wish lists if your family would like to donate to a teacher’s classroom. Those books will be shipped for free (no minimum) to school.
At the warehouse, your orders are packed by team members practicing social distancing, always wearing gloves and masks, and continually disinfecting surface areas.
All proceeds from the book fair this year will be shared between the library and the financial aid fund to help families with changed circumstances. Visit bookwormcentral.com and enter our organization code, Burgundy, at the top of the screen. I’ve recorded a quick walkthrough video about how to get on to the site and start shopping.
The Fair will be open from Thursday, April 30 through Monday, May 11. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for recommendations, questions, help, feedback…anything! barbarak@burgundyfarm.org
**If your family is unable to participate in the book fair due to financial reasons, please send me 2-3 books your child would like to have. I will create a donation list that people can purchase from, then I will have them mailed to your house. We don’t want anyone to go without books right now!**
