Thanks to Our Spring Head’s Coffee Panelists!

This morning we welcomed a panel of 8th grade and alumni parents for a Spring Head’s Coffee to share what the value of the Burgundy experience has been for their students and what that experience has meant to their families. It was an informative, insightful, thoughtful, and sentimental morning!

Parents were candid about what Burgundy has meant to them and their students, including how their children are prepared academically and emotionally, how Burgundy helped form them into fierce advocates for both themselves and others, and how it’s instilled in them a thoughtful, open and empathetic way to view the world.

We learned about the experience of applying to and choosing a high school and how our students succeed at smaller private schools, larger public schools, and eventually in college. A common theme was how Burgundy and its exceptional faculty are able to instill a true passion for learning in its students. Graduates leave Burgundy with skills not always cultivated by the end of one’s Middle School years – including a strong sense of self, critical thinking skills, and an awareness of personal responsibility regarding how to approach and manage their school work and interests.

We are grateful to the panelists and everyone in attendance. One parent who joined wrote afterward to say how much he took away and shared that the exchange spoke “to the really great value that Burgundy is providing our kids.”
