Planning for the 2018 Fall Fair
Believe it or not, we’re already beginning to prepare for the Fall Fair! We’re looking forward to it, and we know you are too. Please save the date: Saturday, October 13, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
We’re pleased to share a defining statement for the Fall Fair:
Burgundy's annual Fall Fair is always a fun day for our community! Fair proceeds support financial aid, but the event's main purpose is as a "friendraiser," not a fundraiser. The Fall Fair is a homecoming event for our alumni and their families, a casual way for neighbors and prospective families to get to know Burgundy, and a celebration of community with current families and friends!
Do you have plans to clean out closets or straighten up bookshelves over the summer? Start saving supplies for Kids' Closet, Used Books and Games at the Fall Fair! Collection will begin in the fall. Limited storage is available in the basement of the Advancement Office at Norton House (5622 Norton Road).
Here's what we are looking for:
- Kids' Closet: gently used kids' clothes and toys. (We cannot accept electronics, car seats, helmets, pajamas, bathing suits or underwear.)
- Used Books: children's books of all types; adult fiction, and adult non-fiction in these categories: cookbooks, travel (2010 to now), art/coffee table books, self-help/parenting. Media, including CDs of audible books or music, and family friendly DVDs. (We cannot accept VHS and cassette tapes, encyclopedias, textbooks and damaged books.)
- Games: gently used/new stuffed animals for a new game.
