PAAS Event: Blacks in Wax February 17

Friday, January 26, 2018

Burgundy’s Parents of African-American Students group (PAAS) will be sponsoring an African-American Historical Figures exhibit called “Burgundy’s Blacks in Wax LIVE!” The name is inspired and authorized by the founder and CEO of the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.

Burgundy students, teachers, parents, and faculty are encouraged to participate by researching and portraying a historical figure they admire for a "living museum" exhibit. Please sign up in the library by February 12. For more information contact Arlene Guevara at adguevara@gmail.com or Tracy Camp-Johnston at tracyc@burgundyfarm.org.

All are invited to attend the exhibit on Saturday, February 17, 2-4 p.m. in the Burgundy Gym. During the event, folks will present & portray African-Americans who have contributed to American history, especially those “hidden figures” in history.
