Middle School community service was in full swing last weekend with not one, but two concurrent activities. Kudos to all those involved in making these opportunities a reality!

  • The Gym and Middle School Atrium were central hubs for around 30 middle schoolers and parents as they filled 1000 toiletry bags for ALiVE Alexandria with toothpaste, soap, hand sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! ALiVE, founded in 1969, is the oldest and largest private safety net for Alexandrians living in poverty and with hunger.
  • Middle School Humanities teacher Levita led a cooking class and meal preparation workshop in the Logan Loft kitchenette that resulted in 45 full meals for the residents and staff at New Hope Housing’s RPC Shelter on Columbia Pike in Arlington, VA. New Hope Housing has been providing a comprehensive, innovative array of services to homeless families and single adults since 1978.
