Festival of Lights: All the Details!
Festival of Lights is Friday, December 21 in the Gym! Burgundy’s annual winter performance involves every class sharing stories about the theme of light from a diverse array of cultural traditions and experiences. This is a popular event and we usually see a large number of families on campus for Festival of Lights and the classroom parties that follow it. Don’t forget that Friday is a noon release, with no afternoon enrichments or bus service.
This year the advancement office is happy to provide coffee and pastries at Norton House 8:15-9:30 a.m., so stop by to stay warm between parking and enjoying the program!
We have again coordinated off-site parking for employees and community members at nearby Clermont Park, on Franconia Road. A shuttle bus will run from Clermont Park to Burgundy beginning at 7 a.m. (for Burgundy staff arriving early) about every 15 minutes with the last return trip picking up from Burgundy at 1 p.m.
We recommend dropping your child off at carpool in the morning, and when you're ready to return to campus, parking at Clermont Park and catching the shuttle. Children are welcome to ride the shuttle back with adults when you're ready to leave. Please avail yourselves of this service to ease traffic on campus and prevent parking tickets in the neighborhood!
We will have a limited number of handicap accessible parking spaces and reserved seats for family members with mobility concerns. Please check in with Burgundy staff for help locating these spaces.
