Dogs on Campus

Friday, September 15, 2017

As most visitors quickly notice, Burgundy is a dog-friendly campus.

Several canine companions join our faculty and staff on campus on a regular basis, including Cameron (with Jeff in the Main Office), Chance (with Elizabeth L. in Meyers Barn), Gus (with Kathleen in Meyers Barn), Izzy (with Elizabeth N. in West Barn, K Foxes), Sulley (with Paige in the Middle School), and Winter (with Chiquita in the Middle School).

Other dogs are often seen during morning and afternoon carpool as they join families to drop off and pick up their students.

If you bring your pets to visit, please note that leashes are required. In addition:

  • Be aware of people--both children and adults--and other animals around you and make sure everyone stays calm and comfortable.
  • Come with bags and pick up and dispose of any waste.
  • Remember, our students are constantly outside exploring campus for class projects and playtime--so help us keep our campus usable and beautiful!
  • Note that dogs are recommended to stay at home for special events (including the Fall Fair).
