On behalf of the Burgundy Parent Association (BPA) and a group of amazing parent volunteers, we are excited to present a 75-day Racial Justice Challenge, explicitly curated for full-family participation and conversation and in honoring Burgundy’s 75th Anniversary.
Goal: To inspire and motivate one another to take action on the racial justice issues we collectively want to address and to become a community of doers and change-makers. Every small step we incorporate into our monthly, weekly, and daily routines to learn and do will lead us to that positive change.
How the Challenge Works: The BPA has taken your suggestions and uses them to share weekly challenges for the rest of the school year until we have released 75 challenges. There is no order in which challenges need to be completed and you can revisit earlier weeks as we make our way through this effort together. The BPA has created an online submission form for you to submit reviews of the activities you partake in and what you would recommend for other families. We are so excited to be a part of this endeavor and we hope you join us with full hearts, open minds, enthusiasm, and compassion.
Do what you can, go at your own pace, and share the challenges with family and friends!
Burgundy is a one-of-a-kind independent school for Junior Kindergarten through 8th Grade. We believe children learn best in an inclusive, creative, and nurturing environment that engages the whole child.
