Burgundy's Annual Auction is Saturday, March 3, with the theme Burgundy Soars—Rising to the Future.
The auction is our school's primary fundraiser—all proceeds benefit financial aid, which helps one in four Burgundy students. The adults-only evening will include a delicious catered dinner, drinks, mingling with friends, and of course, wonderful auction items! Our Auction Co-Chairs are Jane Hyatt Thorpe and Betsy Erickson.
New in 2018!
Airborne Admission Ticket Package: A ticket package that helps underwrite the costs of the event, new this year based on parent feedback. For $300, you get two admission tickets and two drink tickets redeemable at the cocktail bar. Thank you for helping us offset costs and raise more money for financial aid!
Proxy bidding option: If you can’t attend but want to get a bidder number so that someone else can bid for you on auction night, you’re now able to do so! Designate a friend as your proxy so you won’t be outbid on your favorite item!

It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know parents from other classes as well as our broader community. Opportunities are available February 26 through March 5. Please sign up if you're able to lend a hand.
The Annual Auction is Burgundy's major fundraising event and supports financial aid. One in four students receives financial aid to attend Burgundy. The auction features a cocktail reception, dinner, dessert and coffee, music, raffles, and both a live and silent auction.
Current parents, alumni parents, and alumni generously donate and/or obtain donated auction items from other individuals, businesses and organizations. The silent and live auctions allow parents to bid on class projects, parent donations, business services and vacation packages. A wide range of types and values for auction items offer opportunities for community members to bid and accommodates all pocketbooks. This is a fun and exciting evening for Burgundy parents and guests!

Burgundy in Bloom, our 35th Auction, turned the Gym into a charming garden for the evening. The scent of eucalyptus and the soft flicker of candles on the tables set the stage for a calming, joyful evening to support student financial aid. A new auctioneer highlighted special offerings in the silent auction and energized the crowd during the live auction.
Attendees were moved by alumna Tonija Hope Navas '89, currently the director of the Ralph Bunche Center for International Affairs at Howard University, who came to Burgundy in 5th grade. She called the school a magical place, but noted that she would not have been able to attend had it not been for financial aid. This is the case for one in four Burgundy students today, and that's why each year the auction raises funds to support student financial aid.
Thanks again to Auction Co-Chairs Ann Grillo, Moley Evans, and Preston O'Neil for such a wonderful evening. We are still tabulating how much money was raised for financial aid this year.
