The Burgundy Fund supports and enhances Burgundy’s program each year, and we ask current families, past families, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends to make a gift to the Burgundy Fund on an annual basis. Gifts to The Burgundy Fund are unrestricted and support Burgundy’s students, faculty, and facilities. These gifts enhance students’ experiential education on and off campus, support professional development to ensure that our faculty remain at the forefront of progressive education, and provide for care of both our Alexandria campus and the Cove.
Like virtually all independent schools, Burgundy relies on annual philanthropic support to make up the difference between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating Burgundy students. Tuition pays for only approximately 85 percent of our school’s annual expenses. The remaining funding comes, in large part, from the generous giving of current families, past families, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends.
Every gift to Burgundy makes a difference. We ask all members of our community to make a gift to the Burgundy Fund each year. We understand that everyone’s financial situation is unique, and we invite you to participate at a level that is meaningful to you.
